Start Ups and Downs

I’ve been trying to start up a business that would touch lives and mine in particular 😉.

Got my business plan ready, likely investors, done market research, dreamt about transactions also. But there’s this one thing that keeps threatening me!

The Legal aspect!

Starting up a business (SME) in Nigeria to be precise, especially a food based business can make you food to others!

I’ve even thought of thinking of a fashion or photography business idea to avoid unnecessary stress with Nigeria’s Regulatory bodies,  but it’s like I’m stuck with people’s belly.

To put in for loans it’s like putting in for a job here, you need to have 5years experience and not be more than 22years.

I’m posting this here today so I can look back and smile and say “I’ve come a long way”, but first, anyone with a way to come out of this aspect of depression in my life?

Thinking of how to start up a business
After receiving a call from my business analyst with regards to my food production business plan, it didn’t take long to feel depressed.

  1. It’s great to start up a business but getting around regulations is the difficult part. I advice u to speak to a lawyer or a member of legal cds

  2. Hey. You shouldn’t feel depressed. The more the challenges, the better your idea. Just stand up straight and look tall at the horizon, if you do this at all times when the road seems to bad to go forward. You would definitely find the solutions that would get you into the next level.

Getting an idea right usually takes a while, Sometimes even years. So long as you’re not bothered by timeframes the solutions you develop along the way will build you up. And it’s the strength you developed through this process that would guide you into much tougher challenges.

As Martin Luther King has said “Run if you can, if you can’t walk. If you can’t walk crawl. In whatever you’re doing just don’t stop moving forward.
